How long have you been a bus driver for Transylvania County Schools?
In 25 words of less describe your job?
Safely and caringly transporting precious children to and from school!
Why did you first choose to work for the Transylvania County Schools and why do you stay?
My children rode a school bus where the driver kept hitting cars and signs and poles. I decided if I was going to have to take my kids to school, I might as well get paid for it!
What is one accomplishment, at work, of which you are most proud? Why?
Having former students, who didn’t necessarily like me, come back and tell me how much they appreciated me.
What piece of advice would you give to a new bus driver?
Love your children. Care for them because they become your children for the time you have them. Remember, it’s not just a job. You are being entrusted to transport somebody else’s babies.

Katrina Wilson is a valuable asset to TCS Transportation. She brings an experience and caring to our special needs program that is hard to find. She has always put kids first in everything she does on the bus.
