Tips and Suggestions
Applicants should observe several tips as they work toward employment with the district, including:
  • Check the vacancy list/online application site on the Transylvania County Schools website regularly. In general, vacancies appear on the website first, before making an appearance in other media.
  • Make sure that your online employment application is complete and accurate. This is the primary way hiring supervisors will complete applicant screening. Missing materials can delay or derail the consideration of your application.
  • Email the designated point of contact for a specific vacancy that interests you if you have specific questions about the position. Email is the preferred method of contact. It is not generally necessary in our school system to email or call the principal or site supervisor just to express interest or to send your resume. Our screening and selection processes relies heavily on getting complete information (including cover letter and resume) from the applicant's online employment application in Applitrack.
