Agriculture teachers, Clayton, McNeely and Harris from Brevard and Rosman High Schools; took a total of 34 students to volunteer at the MOOternity Ward last week at the WNC State Fair. Students cared for jersey cows that were due to have calves that week, along with some new babies and younger cattle.
They interacted with the public to help educate them about the dairy industry and where our local milk comes from. Students also got to explore the fair!
Avery Pressley, Junior at RHS, even participated in the ice cream eating contest, taking home the championship trophy!
