Office of School-Community Relations

The School and Community Relations Office of Transylvania County Schools serves to communicate student, staff, and teacher accomplishments to the community in a timely and accurate fashion. News media including articles, web and social media updates, and interviews communicate the school system's goals to the community and welcomes the community into our schools.

In the case of a school closing or delay and/or schedule or event changes, we will update and inform the community with accurate information as timely as possible. Local and regional media, social media, as well as telephone, email, text messaging, and smartphone app notifications will all be used for departures from the normal school schedule.

Our office manages public relations, as well as communications with parents and the community, including releases for newspaper, radio, television, and online media. We maintain a social media presence for the school system and consult with schools to help tell their stories to all interested members of our community.
